Debuts "Recruitment Display Advertising Online"

Published: 11 July 1999 y., Sunday
CareerWeb, one of the leading Internet recruitment websites, has been redesigned and renamed The Employment Guide_s CareerWeb as a result of its merger with The Employment Guide, a freely distributed employment advertising newspaper. The redesigned site is now a major Internet recruitment hub for just about every type of job seeker covering a wide variety of jobs ranging from professional and technical opportunities to hourly-paid positions. The job opportunities listed in over 30 print Employment Guides nationwide, will be fully-searchable on the Internet and attractively presented to job seekers using the original print display ads online. This feature has never before been offered by other publications that generally convert display ads to plain text on the Web. Each display ad will be searchable in up to three job-type categories and assigned a specific geographic location. To effectively represent the multiple job titles commonly found in display advertisements, each job title will be treated as a separate advertisement. The Employment Guide is a division of Trader Advertising Media, a Trader Publishing Company. The Employment Guide is a freely distributed publication capturing a diversified audience of active and passive job seekers with a weekly circulation of over 1.3 million copies. The Employment Guide_s CareerWeb currently attracts an online audience of over 80,000 unique job seekers each week.
