New thermal printer offers ROM logo storage, high-speed printing, and drop-in paper loading, making it ideal for use in retail service environments. One of the new printer_s important features is its NV bit image storage capability. Users can store images or logos in the printer_s Flash ROM with a single print command, which allows retailers to print logos on receipts, menus, and every piece of correspondence sent to customers. The Flash ROM size of 64 Kbytes gives plenty of room for multiple graphic logos for coupons or any other graphic-storage application. The high-speed printing of 130 mm per second shortens customers_ waiting time, while drop-in paper loading minimizes the printer_s downtime. Any employee can replace the printer_s paper in three quick and easy steps, which is especially helpful in fast-paced retail and food service environments. The TSP552-IIC fits neatly into confined spaces, thanks to its compact footprint of 142 mm (W) x 215 (D) x 148 (H). In addition, it features the high reliability associated with the Star name with an MCBF of 15 million lines and a calculated real-time MCBF of 37.5 million lines. The partial-cut autocutter is rated at 1.5 million cuts. The TSP552-IIC is OPOS compliant and meets IEEE Standard 1284.
