Personalized content and interactive applications

Infoseek-owned GO Network and AvantGo, Inc. joined forces Friday to provide personalized content and interactive applications to wireless device users. The content will be available through AvantGo.com_s site, which is a free interactive Internet service. Wireless users can now access specified GO Network "My Page" content such as: stock quotes, sports scores, horoscope, news, and weather via the AvantGo.com "My Page on Air"channel. AvantGo.com is a powerful solution that allows GO Network to deliver existing content and information to a broad selection of wireless devices. The result is a comprehensive, real-time and personalized experience for users of Palm OS and Windows CE-based handheld devices as well as Internet-enabled cellular telephones. "Together, GO Network and AvantGo provide users with a totally flexible, intuitive experience, that is optimized for the mobile environment," said Art Clark, director of Wireless Communications for Infoseek. "Now users do not have to have a desktop computer to access personalized information, interactive applications and services from GO Network. AvantGo provides us with the easiest and most flexible solution for bringing the broad range of GO Network content and applications to today's wireless user."
