Services For A Secure Web Presence

Published: 25 February 2000 y., Friday
Under the name Professional Services, Banyan provides personalization, plus various assessment and directory services. Potential customers of Banyan Professional Services include distributors, application service providers and finance service providers. Visitors to a site are identified while accessing; their access rights are checked and activated according to its assessment. Single sign-on secures complete portals and business critical applications with one login. Banyan_s e-personalization services use concepts from directory technology. The directories work first to create a secure environment, acting as a central source for resource profiles and access policies. A comprehensive analysis provides detailed information on existing directory structures within the company. This analysis indicates topology, security requirements, client verification, application and messaging directories, restrictions and access rights. The service works with, among others, Microsoft NT Domains and Active Directory, Netscape Directory Server, Novell NDS, Peerlogic (ICL) i500, LDAP and X.500, plus Windows.
