Orange, a British mobile firm owned by France Telecom, bought Ananova from the Britain's Press Association, CEO Hans Snook said. The news site would form a key plank in the company's plans to develop its own online portal, he said. Ananova shares its name with a virtual female newsreader with aquamarine hair who is the "human" face for all the company's real-time news.
