Voronin, Basescu to Meet in Bucharest Next Month

The Presidents of Moldova and Romania, Vladimir Voronin and Traian Basescu, had a telephone talk today and agreed to meet in Bucharest in September upon return from UN General Assembly Session in New York.
The two leaders are going to discuss the present-day condition of relations between the neighbor countries and their further development.

Today, Voronin and Basescu discussed various aspects of the Transnistrian conflict settlement, and agreed to be constantly in touch on the Transnistrian settlement evolution. Vladimir Voronin highly appreciated Romania's position on this problem and the manner Bucharest promotes it on the international arena.

He conveyed condolence to the Romanian President and the Romanian people on the unprecedented flood disaster that has taken such a heavy death toll.
