A kindergarten also wants to be a part of information society

Published: 17 September 2003 y., Wednesday
At the beginning of September, Penki kontinentai group together with the Užupis fund presented the kindergarten "Gandriukas" with the computer equipment, educational and children literature. The head of the Užupis fund Agnė Zuokienė, Chairman of the Board of Penki kontinentai group Idrak Dadašov and the director of Skaineta, UAB Albina Danilavičienė visited the kindergarten and delivered the presents. This kindergarten is one of the educational institutions, which are expecting to be connected to information society network "Skynet" in the nearest future. Families, schools, medical and police institutions and companies are being connected to the network. Sponsors of "Gandriukas" are very glad that the kindergarten takes an initiative to join information society and to bring up a modern person thereof. "Gandriukas" was established in 12 December, 1988. The kindergarten is managed by the director Edita Nemeikšienė and the senior teacher Natalė Cicėnienė; 19 educational specialists work here. The kindergarten is a pre-school upbringing institution, where the children are comprehensively and harmonically brought-up and educated, where their health is strengthened, where everyone cares for children’s physical and psychical safety, activity, self-expression, where their self-dependence, creativity and initiative is stimulated. The kindergarten has got its own web site www.gandriukas.lt. It is very simple by now but Penki kontinentai looks forward to updating it integrating a mini web site of each alumnus of "Gandriukas".
