Ashburn International solution ensures fast and convenient serving of restaurant clients

Published: 20 May 2011 y., Friday

Portable card readers Ingenico EFT930W offered to the market by Penki kontinentai group member ASHBURN and its partner UAB UCS Baltic are already successfully in use in almost 200 venues where payment cards are accepted, including the Mambo pizzeria chain, restaurants of the Delano and Vičiūnų groups, etc. These devices, which are integrated with the check-out system, help staff to increase their productivity and to serve clients better and more quickly; they also enable more effective planning of the staff’s work.

This is an attractive solution, one which makes it possible for the staff at the restaurant to settle the bill at the client’s table using the payment card, since the check-out system transmits all the information about the bill to the card reader by Wi-Fi. The waiter can see the orders of all the tables on the screen of the device and he chooses the one that he needs right now.

“It is more convenient for the waiters to do their job using portable card readers Ingenico EFT930W, because the amount to be paid does not have to be written down by hand before the client enters his pin code: the system does all this itself automatically for the waiter. This eliminates a lot of unwanted errors and misunderstandings, making client service flow more smoothly”, said Emilis Uldukis, Head of ASHBURN payment card service network expansion.

The ASHBURN representative explained that this company’s solution has also helped merchants avoid problems concerning updating of equipment in order to meet the requirements for the introduction of SEPA – Single Euro Payments Area on 1 January 2011, whereby payments made with bank cards must be done using a pin number.

ASHBURN has been supplying payment card support systems for almost ten years and installing electronic commerce and loyalty system solutions. In 2007 the Company received an international PCI DSS certificate, which is proof of its superior standard of card data protection.
