BankExpo-2009 Started in Tashkent

The annual national exhibition of banking technologies, equipment and services BankExpo started on March 10th in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). Here the leading European, Central Asian and CIS IT-companies are planning to present their achievements.

In Tashkent Lithuania is represented by the company Penkių kontinentų Bankinės Technologijos (BS/2) – a member of Penki kontinentai International Group. Among solutions presented by the company – software that provides monitoring and video safety of the bank equipment of self-service, and outsorting and maintenance services.

During the first day the BS/2 stand was visited by representatives of the country’s largest banks, Central Bank of Republic of Uzbekistan, Ipak Yuli, Uzpromstroibank, and Mikrokreditbank among others.

According to the BS/2 manager Kristina Bojarun, within the framework of meetings with representatives of banks the information technologies development tendencies in the Central Asia and prospects of the Lithuanian-Uzbekistanian cooperation were discussed.

Aside from Uzbekistan, BS/2 has its representative offices in other Central Asian countries – Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia. In the near future the representative offices of the Lithuanian company will open in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The exhibition will continue until March 11th.
