"Deutsche bank“ is interested in Lithuanian e-commerce systems

On the 11th of September, the representatives of "Deutsche bank" – MM technologies’ manager Ulrich Schaffer and GMF technologies’ regional manager Ronaldas Steinhoffas visited Penki kontinentai, UAB. "Deutsche bank" is one of the largest German banks servicing more than 13 millions customers from 76 countries. Well-known electronic securities’ exchange was established thereof. The bank representatives showed an interest in the products of Penki kontinentai group, especially in e-commerce solutions thereof. Penki kontinentai created first Lithuanian e-shop www.books.lt, where today one can purchase not only different books in various languages, but also CDs, DVDs, video tapes. Furthermore, the visitors can also try to sell their old books they do not need. German bank representatives paid much attention at the e-bookstore technology "Trade manager" and at integrated in it virtual authorization module (VAM), which guarantees safe web transactions. "Microsoft" corporation has given Penki kontinentai the name of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for E-Commerce Solutions. "Deutsche bank" representatives are planning to cooperate with Penki kontinentai in the fields of e-commerce and web programming. The Lithuanian company is expected to create several web portal modules and web systems. The bank representatives have also shown an interest in new bank self-service department concept; an example of implementation thereof is presented in the premises of Penki kontinentai. There are several self-service devices at the modern self-service department – ATMs and information terminals, due to which the clients can proceed all the needed operations – withraw cash, deposit the money, view an account balance, pay for the variuos services, use e-banking systems, etc. Such a department demands for one employee only – universal cashier-consultant, who would help the clients if needed. PDS (Products, Documents, Service) – a system for accounting, control and production management drew much attention, too. A system can provide detailed statistics, reports, helps to specify and manage all the production processes.
