Wincor World 2009, the annual exhibition of IT solutions designed for international retail trade and banking equipment, will take place in Paderborn (Germany) on the 20th-22nd of January, welcoming its visitors with the slogan Driving Process Excellence.

Over 600 companies from different countries of the world will present their solutions in an area of 7,000 sq. meters.

Dado Nesic, the organizer of the banking solutions exposition, explains that IT products and solutions related to efficiency of banking transactions and cash management will be presented in the exhibition.

Seminars will take place during the exhibition; in the seminars, representatives of well-known banks and retail trade companies will review the trends in the banking and retail trade sector and will present innovative and practically applicable solutions for cash management and optimization of the processes of the banking sector.

On the first day of the exhibition Eckard Heidloff, the president of German company Wincor Nixdorf, one of the largest producers of equipment designed for banking and retail trade, will open a forum in which future directions and perspectives of the banking sector will be presented.

The main topic of the forum of the 21st of January will be cash management. Representatives of world-famous banks and retail trade companies such as Tesco Europe will share their experience in this field.

On the third day of the exhibition, specialists will discuss ways of optimizing processes and reducing costs. The company Wincor Nixdorf will present the system iCASH designed for cash management in retail trade; this system was launched in April 2008, in the USA.

The organizers expect mobile solutions such as television, Nintendo Wii and BlackBerry, Person-to-Person Payments or innovative transfer of money will also attract a lot of attention.

“Golden” product of Lithuania in the exhibition

Lithuanian IT company Penki kontinentai, the golden partner of Wincor Nixdorf, will participate in the exhibition just like every year. The company will present its solutions at two stands designed for the banking and retail trade sectors.

In 2008, Penki kontinentai group represented by its subsidiary company BS/2 entered a partnership agreement with Wincor Nixdorf regarding long-term bilateral cooperation; under this agreement, Penki kontinentai represents Wincor Nixdorf in the installation of solutions designed not only for banking technologies but also for retail trade.

In this year’s exhibition, Penki kontinentai will present the ATMiQ  system, designed for optimization and management of business processes, the video surveillance system ATMeye, which is already installed in over 24,000 ATMs all over the world, the monitoring software ProView, which enables remote management and administration of the systems used by banks, and iQxml, a solution for self-service systems, which enables management of payment transactions carried out via self-service equipment, in the exhibition.

The system ATMiQ enables one to foresee and control cash flows as well as to analyze the condition of technical equipment. This is especially relevant at the moment because the majority of banks are facing the consequences of the worldwide financial crisis. “We are happy because ATMiQ was awarded gold medal in the contest Lithuanian Product of the Year organized in 2008,” says Žanas Ratomskis, the manager of the Information Technologies Department of BS/2.

The specialists of BS/2 will present their programming solutions designed for the technical equipment of Wincor Nixdorf in the exhibition.
