First time in Lithuania - video art festival

Modern cinema studio “Skynet film Studio” arranges video art festival. Since the 28th of August on every Thursday video art fanes has been introduced with Lithuanian video art creator works. During the festival all the artists, dictating Lithuanian video art creation traditions, will bee presented. The program of the festival has been started by works of Jurga Barilaitė with two movies: “Kai į mane žiūri, aš rėkiu” and “Būtinoji gintis”. The project is unique not only because a such complexions festival in Europe was not held and the festival program will be presented by accomodating the most modern video art works screening forms. First time in Lithuanian vizual art screening history will be possible to watch video art made at the street screens "Actual City Media" vizual, in the „Cafe de Paris“ and will be possible to send back their extracts to mobile phones from web sites, where the screening video makes reviews will be evulgated and its’ authors biographies will be presented. Every Thursday the video art program will be presented in „Cafe de Paris“ as the project part of „Involved“. “Involved“ is the organization, which features cultural projects. It tries to screate shirt-sleeve, open space for community, to realize cultural-social events: thematic-information expositions, music, film and other evenings. In the events it is trying to share with one‘s musical taste, to stimulate discussions, to organize like-minded persons. Before over one years every Thursday the video art evenings,which are organized by „Involved“, take place in „Cafe de Paris“, what is more the new project form - „Skynet“ video art festival is practicing co-operating with “Skynet Film Studio“ . „Skynet Film Studio“, which was established of this year April, is specific because its operators and directors create the digital cinema by photographical telephones and Internet vizual cameras. The first project of studio is realizing together with TV telecast “Arbatos klubas naktį”. In the web site www.arbatosklubas.lt are presenting digital films behind the sceanes. Private Corporation “Penki kontinentai” is one of the sponsers of general “Skynet film studio” and “Involved” project.
