At the beginning of the year 2003 Penki kontinentai has issued e-book "For Merits to Lithuania" written by Vilius Kavaliauskas. For the first time the book was issued in 1996 in Copenhagen and in 1999 it was issued for the second time. Today its is impossible to find this book at the shelves of the bookstores, but it is still being hunted by the collectors. The book presents a collection of all Lithuania’s rewards of the years 1918-1940, tells about the system of rewarding. Number of the Honoured reaches 33 400, up to 1900 are presented with photos. The e-book, which was created using "Mix media book" technology, can already be purchased at on-line bookstore www.books.lt or at the web site devoted to that book www.decorations.lt. Now the second part of the book "For Merits to Lithuania" is being created. Main advantage of the e-book is that it can be supplemented with additional information. There is a hope the relatives of the Honoured could give some additional photos or other information. Then the book might be supplemented.
