The "Penki kontinentai" group is the only Lithuanian company that is going to represent the country in the exhibition "Cartes & IDentification 2007" that will be dedicated for the smart cards and security solutions.
The "Penki kontinentai" group is the only Lithuanian company that is going to represent the country in the exhibition "Cartes & IDentification 2007" that will be dedicated for the smart cards and security solutions. The exhibition will take place in Paris on November 13.
Every year during this exhibition the news of the market is introduced, the specialized conferences and seminars are organized. This year the main focus will be on the mobile banking and its security.
During the "Cartes & IDentification 2007" the winners of the "Sesames" awards will also be announced. These awards are held the most important recognition by the participants of the smart cards and e-security market.

This year is the 22nd time that the exhibition is organized. Over 500 well-known companies from 130 various countries of the world are going to take part in it. The organizers expect that the exhibition will be visited by approximately 20 thousands guests, and these will be the authorities of the finance sector, and representatives of companies working in the spheres of information technologies, telecommunications, and electronics. Japan will be the honorary guest of the "Cartes & IDentification 2007".

During this prestigious event the representatives of the "Penki kontinentai" group are going to present such products and solutions as the e-trade via the IP television, e-prescription system, ATMeye, etc.
"The IP television is not an innovation, but universal solutions that could be applied for the trade in products and services via such television are not available so far. We have created a special card "Penki ID", that the "Penki TV" viewers could use to order a ticket to a movie or to call a taxi. This product will certainly receive much attention from the participants and visitors of the exhibition," says Darius Simanavicius, the representative of the "Ashburn International".
It is believed that the e-prescription system developed by the "Penkiu kontinentu bankines technologijos" (BS/2) will also be of interest.
"Unlike in
Lithuania, in Western countries the health service system quite a time ago entered the electronic sphere. It should be noted that one of the "Sesames" nominations is associated with the solutions applicable in the health service system. The "E-prescription" method could easily be applied not only in
Lithuania but in other countries as well. After its implementation the doctor's consultation and the prescription for medicine could be available via the internet. The pharmacist will only have to connect to the internet in order to have no doubts whether he or she can sell the customer the prescription drug," says Valerijus Pankratenko who is one of the authors of this project.
