International Exhibition “BankTech 2006”

Today's Kazakhstan gives a warm welcome to innovative industrial projects, especially in the field of information technologies. In Almaty it is planned to open the free economic zone “Information Technologies Park” In the meantime the regional parks are established in Uralsk, Karaganda and Almaty. Such parks are going to be established in the southern, northern, and eastern regions of the country, and in Altana. Together with another projects this project should start the development of information technologies in Kazakhstan.

The second international exhibition in Central Asia is going to be the place where the European and Asian IT experts could share their experience and talk over the latest solutions in the field of information technologies and the development in the sphere of services in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. Besides, the exhibition will be the first conference dedicated to the banking technologies, equipment and services. The events will be organized on May 30 – June 1 in Almaty.

The exhibition “BankTech” reflects the realities of the market and offers the opportunity to cooperate to the participants and visitors. Besides, it is the first time when during the exhibition the conference dedicated to the banking technologies, equipment and services will be organized.

The participants will present their products of the following fields: programming equipment for the finance organizations, design and production of plastic cards, security systems for banks, bank office equipment, production of banking documentation, programming complexes for the management of teller machine centres.

The best dealers and manufacturers of banking equipment and technologies, as well as the banks and other financial institutions are going to take part in the exhibition.

Lithuania will be represented by the “Penkių kontinentų” bankinės technologijos (BS/2), that is the subsidiary of the “Penki kontinentai” – the greatest IT company in Lithuania.

It is the second time that the BS/2 will take part in the “BankTech” exhibition. The spheres of the company's activities is to provide, implement and maintain the specialized banking self-service equipment and electronic terminals, to create and install the specialized software, to create the security solutions, to organize training for bank specialists, etc. Since 1997 the company is the partner of “Wincor Nixdorf”; it is the only official dealer in the banking self-service equipment in the Eastern Europe and Asia produced by the mentioned company.

The stand of the “Penki kontinentai” banking technologies will be placed in the hall No. 10 of the “Atakent” exhibition complex. Here the company will present the following solutions and products:
• the ATM monitoring and administration centre with the integrated ProView, ATMeye visual security and PDS call registration systems;
• the automated teller safe with the integrated “Smart Safe” software;
• the ATM that allows to read chip cards and has the payment and transaction log feature;
• the information terminal with the integrated “BS Payment” software;
• the ATMiQ system.

A new surge of logical attacks on ATMs: what the Belgian experience teaches
