At the end of November, the meeting of the management of the Penki Kontinentai Group and the representatives of the major Kazakhstan banks took place. They discussed the results of the past year, the issues of cooperation and introduced new products of the company group.

Penki Kontinentai has been supplying this country with the banking sector solutions and IT services for 10 years already. The company is successfully cooperating with the major banks of the country, including Halyk Bank, BTA Bank, ATF Bank (UnitCredit Group), Alliance Bank, Nurbank, Bank CenterCredit, etc.

According to Idrakas Dadašovas, the CEO of the Penki Kontinentai, due to convenient geographic location, Kazakhstan became the gate of developing business in other Asian countries.

“From Kazakhstan we moved to the markets of Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia. The meeting and positive feedback from our users confirm that we are on the right path,” said Mr. Dadašovas.

According to the calculations of the economy experts, the banking and IT sectors of Kazakhstan are especially stable. Recently these areas have been attracting most investment both from the state, and abroad. It is also proven by the restructuring of banks affected by the recession.

“As bank restructuring is going on, our main task in Kazakhstan is to provide the banks with technologies and solutions that would ensure maximum reduction of all costs and rapid return of the investment,” said Mr. Dadašovas.

According to the CEO of the Penki Kontinentai Group, the family of iQ products intended for the management, supervision and control of the business processes could be helpful here. It collects and processes the data necessary for business and accelerates decision making. Moreover, it ensures security and accounting, including statistics and forecasts.

Apart from the new project, the Penki Kontinentai is supplying the Kazakhstan market with specialised equipment for terminals, maintenance of hardware and software, and aid in meeting the
EMV standard. Security and high level of service meeting the quality parameters of the SLA (Service Level Agreement) level ensure direct link of the Lithuanian company with its subsidiaries, including the ones operating in Kazakhstan. Currently, the provision of services in Kazakhstan is 99 percent.

“Installing media equipment into self-service devices was met with much interest of the Asian businessmen. It is much more interactive and using the resources of view, sound, etc. provides with the possibility to inform the customers of bank services. A relevant topic was outsourcing, which is especially marketable due to our accumulated experience in different countries. Outsourcing is usually selected from the services that are trusted by 100 percent,” said the CEO of Penki Kontinentai.

Kazakhstan is the ninth country in the world according to its area (2.7 million sq. m.) and rich with oil, gas and uranium resources. Currently, the transport corridor West Europe-Russia-Kazakhstan-China is being built. The total length is 8,998 km and 3,200 km of it will be in Kazakhstan. The new route will connect the countries of West Europe and China and open new prospects for business.
