Before the beginning of the "Police friend" contest, a survey has been made in several Lithuanian schools. The pupils were to tell what animal the policemen are alike. The answers were different:
  • like a mouse because it’s fast and hardly noticeable (Jonas, 6 th form);
  • like a fox because it’s clever (Monika, 6 th form);
  • like a tortoise because it has got body armour and it’s green; and because it is as slow as a police car (Edvinas, 6 th form);
  • like a dragon because the policemen are courageous and powerful like them (Žygimantas, 6 th form);
  • like a cat because the cats feel the smell of the thieves and guards the house (Vėtra, 1st form);
  • like an octopus because the police never lacks the hands to complete plenty of different tasks in a time (Marius, 6th form.);
