New self-service department concept has been presented

Published: 17 September 2003 y., Wednesday
At the beginning of September Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos, UAB (BS/2) have presented the Lithuanian banks (Vilniaus bankas, "NORD LB", "Nordea Lietuva") a concept of the new self-service department. An example of the modern bank’s self-service department has been constructed at the premises of Penki kontinentai (A. Stulginskio 5, Vilnius). There are several self-service devices at the department – ATMs and information terminals, due to which the clients can proceed all the needed operations – withraw cash, deposit the money, view an account balance, pay for the variuos services, etc. Such a department demands for one employee only – universal cashier-consultant, who would help the clients if needed. Furthermore, the cashier could operate all banks’ operations – pay out and receive money. The automatic safes, which are installed at the workplace, would help him or her to do it. Bank news as well as the currency rates could be presented at the large screen. "Wincor Nixdorf" self-service equipment and BS/2 banking technological and software solutions were used to arrange the department. The department is divided into two zones – one is the self-service zone, which operates 24 hours a day, another is for the cashier and is open during the working hours. New concept of the banks’ departments was presented by "Wincor Nixdorf" indirect sales manager Eduardas Vaigauskas and by BS/2 representatives – sales managers Mindaugas Butkus and Aristida Virvilaitė, and Head of the Competence department Vladas Lapinskas.
