In the yearly competition "Innovation 2007" that is organized by the Lithuanian Innovation Centre and the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists the e-trade system via IP television "Penki TV" has won in the category of the innovative product.
In the yearly competition "Innovation 2007" that is organized by the Lithuanian Innovation Centre and the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists the e-trade system via IP television "Penki TV" has won in the category of the innovative product.
Installation of this innovative system allows direct buying and selling of various services on the TV screen. It should be noted that the system was introduced in the world exhibition "Cartes & IDentification 2007" that was organized in Paris and was dedicated to the smart cards and electronic security solutions
According to the organizers of the competition the results have surpassed the expectations: This year the number of the applications in the categories of innovative products and companies was unusually large. Apart form the competition in the category of innovations the companies of the country could compete in the category of the innovative company. However, the greatest part (even 42) from the 67 applications have been presented in the category of the innovative product.
The applications have been submitted from various Lithuanian regions and industry sectors (information technologies, food, electronics, chemistry, etc.). According to the organizers of the competition it shows the increasing innovation potential of the Lithuanian companies.
Apart from the "Penki kontinentai" group seven Lithuanian companies have won the prizes. These are: the "GGF" with its "Goldengrass" (the fermented grass for horses) , the "Snaige" with its refrigerator "Ice logic", the "Siauliu tauro televizoriai" with its LCD TV "Angel" gamut, the "Biok" with its hair care products "Margarita" with amber extract, the "Ergolain baldai" with its furniture for the reception room the "Wave", and the "Informacijos aleja" with its software "NewsProcessor".
In the category of the innovative company eight companies got the prizes: the "Aconitum", the "Teltonika", the "Prezika Metrology", the "Kostalita", the "Selteka", the "Malsena", the "Gaumina", and the "Marijampoles pieno konservai".
The competition is organized to realize the project "Strengthening of the Abilities to Form and Implement the Innovations (INO-GEB)". The project is supported by the EU and the Lithuanian budget.
