The 11th International Exhibition and Conference CSTB 2009, at which innovations in the field of television and telecommunications will be presented, is taking place in Moscow on 2nd-5th of February.
Manufacturers of TV equipment, radio and television broadcasting equipment and wireless technologies, providers of paid television services, developers of TV production, etc., will present state-of-the-art products and services to the visitors of the exhibition. Conferences and seminars, in which telecommunications trends in the Russian market and in the whole world will be discussed, will also be held.
The Penki kontinentai group is flying the flag for Lithuania at the event. The group will present its Penki TV middleware designed for interactive IP television.
In addition to the usual functions, the software enables such additional services as video on demand, electronic trade, virtual cinema, e-mail, surfing the Internet via the TV, etc.
“CSTB is the biggest event of this field in Russia as well as in the whole CIS where, despite global economic difficulties, especially rapid development of telecommunications is underway. Compared to similar solutions offered by our competitors, the IP TV system, which we are presenting, is competitive in respect of both quality and price. Thus we are sure that it will attract the attention of internet service providers and paid television service providers,” said Penki kontinentai’s manager of Strategic planning and programming.
Over 350 companies from 25 countries around the world are participating in CSTB 2009. The participants of the exhibition include such companies as Cisco, NEC Electronics, Thomson etc. It is expected that over 20 thousand visitors will visit the event this year.
