The Biggest Information and Banking Technologies Exhibition BakuTel will Take Place in Azerbaijan

On 23–26 November, the 26th International Exhibition and Conference BakuTel 2010 will take place in Baku. International ICT Week is the slogan of this year event usually attracting professionals of ITT and banking sectors. For the first time the exhibition will take place in a new Baku Expo Centre complex, which will allow the event exhibition to be presented effectively.

Over a 100 companies from 15 countries, including Azerbaijan, Israel, China, Malaysia, UAE, Turkey, USA, etc., will be gathering in BakuTel this year.  At the exhibition, Lithuania will be once again represented by Group of Companies Penki Kontinentai, which will present services and products of its secondary companies BS/2 and Penki Kontinentai Baku. The Group and its secondary enterprise Penki Kontinentai Baku has been operating in Azerbaijan market already for more than 12 years; according to the data of 2010, it takes 74% of the country’s banking technology market.

During the event, BS/2 representatives are going to introduce to the exhibit participants and visitors video security and surveillance solutions ATMeye.iQ, and other .iQ family products. The Lithuanian company is going to introduce a new project Service Desk.iQ – an intellectual tool for information about ongoing business and system processes, and for collecting documents and reports. The company will participate with this project in a special program for promoting innovative products in Azerbaijan market, and will be marked as Innovation Territories.

Besides, for the first time at the BakuTel Exhibition, the Lithuanian company will introduce an inter-active IP television system and Smart House, which enables to manage and optimize all processes in a building.

Azerbaijan development is particularly active, which is obvious by looking at the construction sector.  New blocks are growing in Baku, which leads to the growing demand for innovative power-saving and easy-to-manage technology ”, - said Saulius Paukštys, Director of Strategic Planning and Programming Department of the Company.

According to the Director, the topic of power-saving house is relevant not only for the economy, but it is also related to the global climate change problem. 2010 is a Year of Ecology in Azerbaijan; thus, on 24 November, a conference on ICT and Global Climate Change will be held during BakuTel.

Well-known companies, such as Azercell Telecom, Delta Telecom, Hewlett Packard, Huawei Technologies, Microsoft, Nokia, Siemens Networks, Oracle, and others will be participating in BakuTel exhibition and conference.

The event is organized by ITECA Caspian LLC and ITE Group PLC.
