The largest Mipcom content exhibition in Cannes

Mipcom, an international exhibition of audiovisual production dedicated to production, purchase, supply and distribution of content, takes place in Cannes of the 13th-17th of October.

According to the data available to the organizers of the event, the average amount of transactions and business deals made during the exhibition amounts to over 10 billion Euros.

Martynas Žilionis, Manager of Media department of the company Penki kontinentai which provides services of interactive IP television Penki TV in Lithuania, says that participation in the exhibition is an opportunity to find out about the latest offers in the field of entertainment content.

“The place where the exhibition is held was not chosen by accident. The majority of people associate Cannes with high-quality cinema. We purchased broadcasts on tourism and logic games which are very popular among the audience of Penki TV during the exhibition which took place last spring. This time, like before, we hope to reach agreement concerning possibility to broadcast the latest products to the customers of Penki TV with TV producers known all over the world,” states M. Žilionis.

Irma Brusokaitė, Project manager of Penki TV who takes part in the exhibition for the second time, says that representatives of the biggest production studies in the world and suppliers of audiovisual production solutions from over a hundred countries of the world may be met only in the Mipcom exhibition.  

Besides the largest audio and video production fair, a conference on future trends of entertainment content will be held here as well. Participants of the conference include over 150 innovators of the entertainment world this year.

David Zaslav, President and General Manager of Discovery Communications, will read a report on Green planet which is included in the cycle of reports on our planed of the Green TV. Ze Frank, legend of the web, and Harry Carter, President of Creative Networks, will try to answer the question whether any difference between “traditional” and “new” means of media exists once and for all. Chad Charlie, General Manager of YouTube, will start an assembly regarding broadband images which will take place in the exhibition for the first time. Harry Wang, initiator of the Internet site Tudou, will read his report on convergence of television, social networks in the web and video games.
 
This year, participants include BBC, CBS Paramount International Television, NBC Universal Television Distribution, Sony Pictures Television International, Twentieth Century Fox International Television, Warner Bros International Television etc.

IP television Penki TV (www.penki.tv) offers its audience in Lithuania services of virtual cinema and access to the web, provides possibility to read and watch hot news, watch high definition (HD) broadcasts, play logic games, familiarize themselves with TV programs etc.
