Published: 3 March 2004 y., Wednesday
Penkiø kontinentø bankinës technologijos“ (BS/2), a daughter company of Penki kontinentai, UAB is one of the most successful Lithuanian companies specializing in banking technologies. BS/2 distributes the banking equipment of the biggest German banking technologies company “Wincor Nixdorf”, provides the technical support, develops and implements specialized software solutions. BS/2 is an official “Wincor Nixdorf” production distributor in the Eastern and Central Europe and Asia. “Wincor Nixdorf” the second biggest ATM supplier in Europe and the third on the world‘s market. BS/2 collaborates with all largest Lithuanian banks as well as with the foreign banks. “Wincor Nixdorf” ATMs serve the clients of such Lithuanian banks as Vilniaus bankas, “Hansabankas”, “Nord/LB Lietuva”, “Snoras”, “Parex”, “Sampo”. In September 2003 an example of the modern bank’s self-service department has been arranged at the premises of Penki kontinentai and BS/2 (A. Stulginskio 5, Vilnius). The self-service department concept has been presented to the Lithuanian and foreign banks. The bank’s show-room is equipped with all the devices needed to proceed bank related operations – withdraw cash, deposit the money, view an account balance, print the account reports, pay for the various services, etc. Last November at “Wincor Nixdorf” partners’ meeting that took place in Thailand, the Lithuanian representatives were given a prestigious award for this concept. “Nord/LB Lietuva” became interested in the concept and in an opportunity to apply it practically. The bank invites its clients to a new generation self-service department, which opened its doors on February 28 2004 in “Europa” supermarket (Konstitucijos pr. 7A, Vilnius). The department is equipped with three “Wincor Nixdorf” devices – ordinary ATM, information terminal and multi-functional ATM. The equipment has been installed and will be maintained by BS/2 specialists. Using this equipment the clients will be able to proceed all the needed operations – withdraw cash, deposit the money, view an account balance, print the account reports, make a remittance, pay for the various services, view the latest bank’s information, etc. “Nord/LB” self-service department differs from the ordinary self-service department – a consultant, who would proceed all the bank’s operations and help the clients if needed, is employed. This is the second self-service department of such kind in the Baltic States. Idrak Dadashov, the General Director of Penki kontinentai goup rejoices: “Today the bank changes its stereotype image “Working hours: 8 a.m.-7 p.m.”. The modern self-service department is open 24/7 thus is very convenient for those whoa are in hurry. Such a department allows a bank to save funds because no employee are necessary to hire; the institutions becomes mobile and can expand a range of traditional bank‘s services flexibly. Penki kontinentai group offers the complex solutions from one supplier: “Skynet” optical cable network, Internet telephony, loyalty cards for the clients, video monitoring as well as banking equipment rent.” According to Thomas S. Buerkle, the President of “Nord/LB Lietuva”, this is a pilot tentative project, which is to make the society familiar with the up-to-date banking technologies as well as to offer new finance management ways. The clients will no longer have to stay in lines in order to perform money remittance or pay taxes -they will be able to perform all the operations themselves at the bank‘s self-service department. As per contact signed with “Nord/LB Lietuva”, BS/2 undertakes to supplement new self-service department devices with the additional functions. During the first several month the clients will be able to use the self-service equipment for performing the ordinary bank procedures, for using “INTERNETO LINIJA” e-banking service as well as for printing the reports. The range of functions is planned to be expanded in future – the clients will be able to deposit the money, to replenish the accounts of the payment cards, to pay for various services, to make the remittances. The clients of Penki kontinentai group will be able to settle the accounts for “Skynet” network, IP telephony and other services. Self-service centres are very popular abroad. Such departments successfully expand the range of services the banks offer, they are very convenient, the self-service devices are easy-to-manage. Undoubtedly there will be more such centres arranged in Vilnius, modern and European capital of Lithuania. Lithuanian supermarkets and business centres, which meet high standards, are projected and built by “Hanner”. Penki kontinentai group has got strong business relations with the mentioned company. Joint “Europa” and Penki kontinentai group loyalty cards will be of use to you at “Europà” supermarket. This is a remarkable solution for you to get the discounts on various products and services offered by the centre’s shops and by Penki kontinentai group. On the 1st of May a modern and spacious conference hall of Penki kontinentai group and Hanner, UAB will open its doors at the third floor of “Europa” business centre. This will be a great place for organizing high quality business meetings, conferences; the hall may be used for the company‘s parties as well, where up to 150 persons can participate.
