“Wincor World 2004”: new cooperation opportunities

This year on February 3-5 annual traditional and already eleventh retail trade and banking equipment exhibition “Wincor World 2004” . will take place in Padeborn, Germany. As ever, the exhibition is organised by the German banking technologies’ manufacturer “Wincor Nixdorf”. About 7 thousand visitors from more than 40 countries worldwide are expected at the exhibition this year. More than 350 participants will present their production and solutions at 10 thousand sq. m. exhibition area. More 40 specialists in the various fields will conduct the seminars and speak a speech of welcome. Symposium of the banking technologies of the future and the innovations’ conference in the retail trade sphere will take place. Well-known world companies such as “Microsoft”, “Fujitsu Siemens Computers”, “Hewlett-Packard”, “Intel”, “Sun Microsytems” are among the exhibition partners. Lithuanian company "Penkiø kontinentø bankinës technologijos (BS/2) has got the status of the silver partner at this exhibition. Last November the company participated at “Wincor Nixdorf” partners’ convention, which took place in Thailand, Puket. For the first time Ashburn International, UAB and Universalios valdymo sistemos (UVS) will present themselves at the exhibition together with BS/2. At “Wincor World 2004” "Penkiø kontinentø bankinës technologijos" will present its latest products and solutions created for the banking equipment:

* “SmartSafe” software developed for the automatic cashiers’ safes “ProCash BBA”. The software allows distant auditing of the safes’ balance on-line and leidþia atlikti grynøjø pinigø priëmimo ir iðdavimo sàskaità


* Video-security system “ATMeye” developed for the monitoring of self-servcie equipment. The system makes video records and creates the archive thereof. Thus it is possible to view various procedures made using the equipment. The system allows solving misunderstandings, which sometimes arise. The system has merited some ATMIA’s (ATM industry assotiation) awards.


* ProCash 3100 – a system, which can accept cash and allows to withdraw it. The system allows conducting all the cash related procedures including coins’ and banknotes’ withdrawal.


* Urgent problems concerning migration to EMV standard. After the decision on changing the magnetic cards with the chip cards was made several years ago, a problem concerning the standardisation of these cards arose. Penkiø kontinentø bankinës technologijos will give a heed to this problem at the exhibition.


* PDS (Products, documents, services) – documents’ management system. PDS is developed to manage all self-service equipment distribution and technical support related processes in the local company’s computer network (LAN) or through the Internet. BS/2 employee use this system daily.


* Loyalty cards’ system “Iki pinigai”

About BS/2 Established in 2001 BS/2 specializes in the banking technologies’ market as well as in software creation and installation. The company has also established several subsidiaries abroad. Besides “Wincor Nixdorf” such companies as “Aladdin”, “Bull”, “Ingenico” and ATMIA Europe are the strategic BS/2 partners. Company’s clients are the biggest Lithuanian, Latvian, Belarus and Kazakhstan banks. The company also collaboration with the other countries – Estonia, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Moldavia, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Uganda. However, not only the banks use products and solutions created by BS/2 as well as the banking equipment the company installs. “Winfor Nixdorf” banking equipment can be successfully uses in various supermarkets, airports. Information terminals can also be used for entertainment. One of such devices is installed at the premises of Internet café Despina. It can be used not only for checking an e-mail but also for getting information on the cities, for taking a picture with the web camera and for creation of a mini web site or even IP telephony - an opportunity to make a call at low prices to any subscriber worldwide.
