More than 500 innovative information technology solutions for banking and retail trade sectors were introduced in the international specialized exhibition “Wincor World 2014” organized by a leading global developer of banking and retail trade solutions “Wincor Nixdorf”. Technology development and mobile solutions were the main focus of attention of the exhibition.
According to Eckard Heidloff, President of the exhibition organizer, leading global developer of banking solutions “Wincor Nixdorf”, business has become inseparable from the Internet, mobile phones and tablet computers; therefore, banks and retail companies not only follow the latest trends, but also employ them in their business.
In the exhibition, Lithuania was represented by a long-standing partner of “Wincor Nixdorf” a company “Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos” (BS/2). “We are glad and proud of our nearly 20 years of cooperation with “Wincor Nixdorf”. Our mobile solutions have already been successfully integrated into self-service equipment of this company. I am convinced that, depending on customer needs and preferences, the number of such solutions will increase in the future”, says Chairman of the Board of “Penki kontinentai” Idrakas Dadašovas.
One of the trends in the banking and retail trade market includes various mobile devices that allow managing business processes in an even more convenient way, depending on specific needs. As one of the examples of innovative mobile solutions, “Wincor Nixdorf” introduced a tablet computer “Albert” that serves as a substitute for the payment terminal. This is a tablet computer that can be used as a mobile or fixed payment terminal (when specialized apps are installed), thereby enabling more convenient and quicker sale and payment transactions.
Visitors of a stand of the Lithuanian company who had come from more than 30 countries were most interested in “Mobile.iQ” platform developed for banking and retail trade sectors as well as for the use of mobile devices. It makes the market of financial services more convenient, easier and more accessible to the customer.
The rapid development of mobile solutions naturally leads to a greater number of channels for financial services. In the exhibition, considerable attention was, moreover, dedicated to ATM functionality. Conventional ATMs with specialized software can be used not only to issue and accept cash, but also to make various payments (for example, payment of utility bills, parking charges) and perform banking operations (make contributions and view accounts, unblock payment cards and exchange currency). BS/2 solution “Payments.iQ” that adds new features to conventional ATMs received an award from the organizer of the exhibition “Wincor Nixdorf”.
In view of expanding functionality of devices, much attention was dedicated to security as well. In the stand of the group of companies “Penki kontinentai”, visitors had the opportunity to take a closer look at the software solution “ATMeye.iQ” of BS/2 that ensures control and protection of self-service devices as well as reduces the risk of fraud and vandalism. The latest 1.1.4 version of “ATMeye.iQ” additionally equipped with such features as “Black List”, expanded monitoring and enhanced data exchange protocol was introduced in the exhibition. Moreover, the company offered a software solution “Mobile ATMeye.iQ” that helps to obtain and analyze all the necessary information faster and make timely decisions.
International exhibition “Wincor World” is organized by a German company “Wincor Nixdorf” as of 2001. This year, more than 7,000 visitors from over 90 countries visited the event.
