Kaunas University of Technology Regional Business Incubator Fastest Growing in the World

During the annual “Best Science Based Incubator Award” ceremonies which took place at the fourth conference on "Best Practices in Science Based Incubators" in Torino, Italy on 1-2 December 2005, Kaunas University of Technology Regional Business Incubator (KTC) has been awarded as the fastest growing business incubator in the world.
The KTC is the first business incubator in Lithuania, established in 1998 with an intention to increase the efficiency of research and development (R&D) activities at the Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) and Kaunas Region. KTC has more than five years of experience in assisting and supporting innovative and technology-oriented SMEs, start-up and spin-off companies.

The international jury of experts on science-based incubators praised the KTC for its fast development during the last 3 years as well as successful incubation processes.

The annual “Best Science Based Incubator Award” is organized by the international association Science Alliance. The most promising new incubator, the most self-sustainable as well as the incubator attracting most investments also were awarded at the event.
