Novell: 10 Years of Success

Published: 18 March 1999 y., Thursday
A decade ago, most people hadn_t even heard of a Certified Novell Engineer (CNE). Now the CNE is recognized as one of the premier software certifications, and more than 150,000 CNEs are installing and maintaining networks around the world. In 1995, after Novell had marked its 50,000th CNE, the company designated March as Certification Month. This year, Novell celebrates its fifth Certification Month with a look back at what the CNE designation has meant to the IT industry. "Novell broke new ground in 1989 and blazed the trail for all other IT certifications," says Ellen Julian, analyst for International Data Corp. (IDC), of Framingham, Mass. Visit Hall 11, Stand D14
