Czech Republic qualify for Euro 2004

The Czech Republic qualified for next year's European Championship in Portugal after beating the Netherlands 3-1 in a Group Three qualifying match on Wednesday. The two sides started the game joint top of the standings on 16 points, with the winners guaranteed top spot in the group with one match left, with the losers going into the playoffs. Jan Koller, Karel Poborsky and Milan Baros scored to extend coach Karel Bruckner's unbeaten streak to 17 matches since taking over after the Czechs failed to reach the 2002 World Cup.
