The chess players claim that all you have to do if you want to win the tournament held in Swiss system is to win the last two matches. Now namely these two rounds are all that remains for the participants of the European team championship. As the favourite – the Russian team is not participating in the championship, new teams are fighting for the title of the champion. After 7 rounds the results in the male subgroup were as follows: 1. France – 19,5 pts., 2. Belgium – 19 pts., 3. England – 17,5 pts., 4. Israel – 17,5 pts., 5. Germany – 16,5 pts., 6-9. Slovenia, Sweden, Check Republic and Greece - 16 pts. Today the main pairings are: France-Israel, Belgium - Sweden, Greece - England, Germany – Check Republic, Slovenia-Spain, Belarus-Spain.
