The winners of the European team championship are known

The Netherlands’s men team – European champions. In the final round they defeated Israel 3:1. France took the second place after loosing the last round to Germany 1,5:2,5. After the victory, the Germans remained the third. The final results were as follows: the Netherlands had 24,5 pts., France - 23 pts. And Germany – 22 pts.
The Latvian team, which was the only team from the Baltic region, received 18 pts and took the 22nd place. There were in all 35 men teams.
The battles in the women subgroup were interesting till the very end. The French women team had 12,5 pts. and took the first place – became the European champions. Two teams – Moldavian and English ones – received 12 pts. And finally, according to the tie breaking system the Moldavian team took the honourable second place and the English women remained the third.
The Latvian team having 8 pts. took the 23rd place. There were in all 32 women teams.
