Thousands of revellers throng the streets of Tbilisi during an annual two-day festival celebrating the gathering of the harvest. One of the main highlights was the ceremonial trampling of the grapes. Georgian vineyard owners predicted a bountiful crop this season, some saying it will be the best of the last decade. Part of the trampling ceremony is to express the hope that the year will be a good one and after the year Georgia has had, which included a brief war with Russia, that's something most Georgians will be hoping for.
