President of RK sceptical about a possibility of a colour revolution

The high level of Kazakhstan's socioeconomic development minimises the risk of "colour revolutions" in the country, Nursultan Nazarbayev, president of Kazakhstan, said answering questions of TV viewers about a possibility of an additional parliament election, KZ-today reports.

"New presidents of Ukraine, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan came to Astana. They all say that what we are doing is correct, that if such reforms and such life improvement took place in their countries, nothing of the kind would happen," - he stressed.

He reminded that the speed of Kazakhstani economy is much higher than the economic growth of many other CIS member states, all the more so in the countries, where the "colour revolutions" occurred. "We wish those countries well-being and prosperity," - he said observing that, unfortunately, so far there has not been any improvement in the socioeconomic situations of these countries.
