Privatization of Malév cancelled
The sale of Hungarian national airline Malév Rt has been canceled for the fourth time. State Privatization and Holding Rt (ÁPV) said on Friday it closed the tender for state-owned Malév without result. ÁPV was to choose between two bids: one from Airbridge, a consortium of Hungarian investors and the Boris Abramovich, the CEO of KrasAir and leader of the AiRUnion alliance of Russian airlines; and another from Aviation
Solution (ASBK), a consortium of Hungarian investors, including members of Malév's former management. ÁPV delayed a decision on the sale for 30 days at the end of July, and said it would start negotiations with Airbridge, the bidder with the best offer.
