Bulgaria's GDP Grows by 6.4% Q2

Bulgaria Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the second quarter of 2005 has grown by 6.4% compared to the same period last year.

Preliminary figures by the National Statistical Institute show it amounts to BGN 9,738 B, which totals BGN 1,215 per person.

Over the first six months of the year Bulgaria's economy has shows an increase of 6.2%, data from National Statistical Institute shows.

The foreign trade balance remains negative, with imports exceeding exports. The National Statistical Institute reports that exports has gone up by 12%, whereas imports have increased by 15%.
