Kazakhstan Parliament ratifies Agreement on security with NATO

  The deputies of Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan ratified the Agreement on security between Kazakhstan and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) at today's plenary session, KZ-today reports.

The Agreement aimed at fortification of mutual obligations of the parties to protect sensitive information exchanged during cooperation within the frameworks of the NATO "Partnership for the Sake of Peace" Program.

Ratification of the Agreement, signed on July 31, 1996 in Brussels, would allow Kazakhstan fully participate in the NATO "Partnership for the Sake of Peace" Program. It will correspond to the mutual interests aimed at active cooperation.
