Kazakhstan determined to deepen ties with Russia, U.S., EU - minister
Kazakhstan is interested in strengthening strategic partnership with Russia; however, as a priority it should have good relations with the United States and the European Union, Kazakh Foreign Minister Kasymzhomart Tokayev has said.
In a Monday report to the lower house of parliament, the official said that Kazakhstan has settled all territorial issues with its neighbors.
"The questions have been settled in full compliance with existing agreements and treaties without any damage to the interests of this country. This, undoubtedly, is a great achievement, and, as a guarantee of Kazakhstan's security, it opens up new prospects for expanding cooperation with our neighbors," he said.
Tokayev singled out border treaties with China and Russia, and with Central Asian states.
