„Penki kontinentai“ ir „Wincor Nixdorf“ pasirašo naują bendradarbiavimo sutartį

Penki Kontinentai Group represented by its subsidiary BS/2 and Wincor Nixdorf are to strengthen and expand their successful cooperation in Eastern Europe and Central Asia: Representatives of both companies signed a partnership agreement today that will see cooperation between the two being extended in the long term. In addition to the banking portfolio, Penki will also market IT solutions from Wincor Nixdorf in the future for retail enterprises.

Penki has already been a sales and service partner for Wincor Nixdorf products, solutions and services for banks since 1995. The two companies together have developed a leading position in branch banking in some 15 countries. A leading company itself in the Lithuanian ITC sector, Penki currently has a workforce of some 300 employees and recorded sales in the region of 110 million Euro in 2007.

“Penki has accumulated extensive know-how in our core business areas with banks and retail companies over more than one decade and has a comprehensive and modern IT service infrastructure at its disposal in most countries” explains Eckard Heidloff CEO of Wincor Nixdorf AG. In terms of sales, Wincor Nixdorf has continuously enjoyed double-digit growth rates in Eastern Europe and Central Asia in recent years. The aim now is to further expand the business on the software side alongside products and services. Penki is setting up a Software and Solution Center in Vilnius for this purpose and will support customers and other partners in the region from this center.

Wincor Nixdorf's ProView monitoring software has already been marketed and integrated very successfully by Penki. This software allows online monitoring and remote administration of systems installed in banks. Both partners see enormous potential for success with software that allows selective addressing of banking customers at ATMs and with Wincor Nixdorf's multivendor software, which allows operation of systems from different manufacturers.

“We are pleased about the new agreement with Wincor Nixdorf, which enables broader cooperation in terms of the range of products and services and in terms of new geographical regions. Reaching a common position on business development for the longer term reflects our joint strategy and common view of the market. This move will be beneficial for the further development of the two independent international companies” says Idrakas Dadasovas, General Manager of Penki Kontinentai.

Penki is to offer Wincor Nixdorf's banking portfolio in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. In addition, Penki will also handle sales of products, solutions and services for the retail sector with immediate effect in the countries of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
