Belgian Police Detain 94 Migrants Headed for UK

Belgian police detained more than 90 people at Zeebrugge and Ostend ports on Tuesday as the migrants were allegedly trying to enter Britain illegally. Thirty-five were found hiding in the back of a truck. The truck driver, who lives in Belgium, was arrested and faced charges of human trafficking, an official at the Public Prosecutors Office in Bruges said. The 35 adults and children found in the truck at the Ostend ferry terminal were from Kosovo and Afghanistan.Fifty-nine were arrested in Zeebrugge, but there were no details of their origin. Last June, 58 Chinese were found dead in the British port of Dover in the back of a Dutch tomato truck that had arrived from Zeebrugge by ferry.
