The Largest Belarusian IT and Telecommunication Exhibition TIBO 2009 to be Held in Minsk
On 21st – 24th of April of the current year the 16th specialized telecommunication, information and banking technology exhibition-congress TIBO 2009 initiated by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, shall be held in the Belarus’ capital Minsk.
Each year the international exhibition attracts the largest IT and telecommunication companies, software production leaders and communications services operators of the country and the world.
Traditionally, the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, Association of Belarusian Banks, Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, State Information Security Centre, State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, and others will participate in this annual event.
The largest exhibition of this kind includes the latest products and services in the field of telecommunication, information and banking technology and security. This year the focus of attention of the International Forum TIBO 2009 is the latest information technology solutions and their effective deployment, telecommunication infrastructure and services market development, e-governance, a competitive knowledge economy projects.
During the specialized exhibitions, seminars and press conferences the latest telecommunication, IT and banking technology tendencies and solutions, which help to create a competitive and resource-efficient economy, will be introduced.
As every year, the Belarusian contest of information resources and services TIBO Internet Award will be held during the event.
At the exhibition TIBO 2009 Lithuania will be represented by the BS/2 daughter-enterprise BS/2 Belarus that was established in Belarus. BS/2 Belarus will introduce products for the new generation ATMs and one of the most topical market solutions – the intellectual ATM network management and optimization system ATMiQ, which helps to forecast the cash requirements, provide for supplement, and analyze the equipment’s technical conditions.
This system is innovative as it may ‘learn’ by itself. Depending on the data collected, it constantly changes and updates its forecasts. All of this allows efficiently managing ATMs and significantly reducing their operational costs.
Over 220 companies from 15 countries participated in the exhibition last year. Among the participants were such world-famous companies as IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Dell, and others.
