Hundreds of presentations of the electronic and telecommunication product innovations, software and technological solutions, thousands of TV production designers, manufacturers, distributors, and broadcasters, multiple seminars and lectures, meeting and conferences – one will be able to see all of this at the annual NAB Show exhibition held on April 18-23 of the current year in Las Vegas (USA).

During the similar most significant event that has been organized for over eighty years, one will have the opportunity to get acquainted with all video product creation, production, broadcasting, and use innovations, from video cameras and specialized studio equipment to powerful TV transmitters and most modern television sets, applications and telephones.

This year’s major NAB Show trends are three-dimensional television, innovations in the field of TV broadcasting via the Internet and mobile communications, and video games. At the exhibition the discussion on the modern movie making technologies and entertainment industry prospects in the face of the global crisis will be held.

For example, at the exhibition Japanese scientists will introduce a three-dimensional high-definition (HD) television, special channels, which do not require special glasses to feel the image “depth”.

At the NAB Show exhibition Lithuanian will be represented by Penki Kontinentai Group.

“We are planning to meet with the existing and future partners and discuss possibilities of introducing some of presented innovations in Lithuania. Also, we plan to introduce new Penki TV interactive IP television solutions,” says Saulius Paukštys, the Head of Penki Kontinentai Strategic Planning and Programming Department.

Among innovations introduced by the Lithuanian company are the IP TV graphical user interface based on the Adobe Flash Lite 3 technology, and Home Media Gateway solution that enables the user to “drag” the films, images, and so on in his or her computer onto TV screen and view them without any additional software.

Last year the exhibition gathered over 104 thousand people, and had products and services presented by over 1 500 companies from 160 countries of the world. Among the NAB Show participants are such well-known companies as Adobe, Cisco, Sony, Canon, Panasonic, BBC, National Geographic Channel, 20th Century Fox Movie Studios, Walt Disney Studios, Nintendo of America, and others.
