Swedish Press: Worst Times Has Already Passed for Lithuania
The Swedish business daily Dagens Industry published an interview with Andrius Kubilius, the Prime Minister of Lithuania, to Bloomberg News. In the interview Mr Kubilius states that Lithuanian export and industry indexes are showing improvements and the recovering German and French economies stimulate the Lithuanian economy as well.
Sweden and Lithuania maintain close business relationship, therefore the message expressed by the Lithuanian Prime Minister is very good news for both markets to continue successful economic cooperation. Sweden is the largest foreign investor into the Lithuanian market: Swedish foreign direct investments in Lithuania comprised EUR 1.5 billion or 16.3 % of the total FDI in Lithuania in the 1st quarter of 2009.
