A Peruvian pet's strange tale

Carmen Valverde and her dog Tomas were out for a walk in their Lima, Peru neighborhood when Tomas was snatched from her side.

A distraught Valverde later got a call from a friend who works at the local hospital. She found Tomas strapped down and sedated on an operating table.
