Spanish Move to Alytus

On 24 November in London a letter of intent will be signed between Alytus Municipality and the Spanish aluminium company “Sopena group” regarding investments of the “Sopena group” in Alytus.

The Spanish plan to construct an automated production plant and to invest EUR 10.4 million into the industrial park of Alytus, Lithuania’s 5th largest city.

Business daily “Verslo žinios” announced that previously it was reported that the Ministry of Economy, Alytus Municipality and the U.S., Spanish and Italian companies’ consortium “U.S. Aviation Technology LLD” was working on a multilateral letter of intent to construct an aluminium factory worth EUR 10 million in Alytus Industrial Park.
