Dead Heat in Monaco

Final Round: When the smoke cleared after the blindfold games in Monaco, Topalov and Kramnik remained tied for the lead, leaving behind, among others, FIDE World Champion Anand. See final tournament standings below. The decisive games of the day consisted in two victories by Gelfand over Van Wely and one by Almasi over Ivanchuk. Round 10: In the last game of the day, Topalov won a blind game over Leko with Black, thus rejoining Kramnik at the top of the Monaco heap after Kramnik drew Anand twice.
