Finnish Retailer Plans to Come to Lithuania
Finnish concern “Kesco” has set a goal to occupy 25% of the retail market in the Baltic States and plans to start its activities in Lithuania in the autumn. “We have not yet made our decision if we will build our own commercial center or will acquire one of the existing retail networks. We are open for cooperation with Lithuanian partners”, said Ari Swensk, Business Development Manager of “Kesco Foods Baltic Operations”. “Kesco” major activities include trading in food and agricultural products, household equipment and construction materials. “Kesco” evaluates the retail market of the Baltic States at about USD 1 billion.
