The new cinema centre

The Finnish cinema operator and film distributor Finnkino intends to occupy 70% of the Lithuanian cinema market by 2005 and expects to attract nearly a million visitors to its new cinema centre Forum Cinemas Vingis, which will open in the nearest future in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Finnkino is a branch of Rautakirja Group which has purchased the majority share of „Vingis” cinema and is refurbishing it to turn it into 13 hall cinema centre. The investment in the new cinema centre is EUR 12 mill. Finnkino also plans to open similar cinemas in Kaunas, Lithuania’s second biggest city and the port city of Klaipeda.
