Toward free trade in agriculture products
Baltic Free Trade Agreement Joint Committee, after sitting in Riga Tuesday, did not manage to find a
compromise solution on limitation of pork import into Latvia. However, it
was agreed that Latvian delegation should present all information to Latvian government for further deliberation, Lithuanian foreign ministry press service told ELTA Tuesday. During a two-day sittings of the Joint Committee, Lithuanian and Estonian delegations expressed their concern on limitation of pork import announced by Latvia. They stressed Latvian Saeima_s June 1 decision ordering to impose limitations on pork import was direct violation of the agreement on free trade in agriculture products.
