The oil exports

Kazakhstan's oil and gas condensate exports rose 11% in first five months of 2003 to 16.96 million metric tons, the State Statistics Agency said Tuesday. This is roughly equivalent to 831,000 barrels a day, and compares with 740,000 b/d in the same period in 2002. Kazakhstan exported a total of 83% of its output in this five-month period, the agency said. Within that period it exported 620,000 tons of oil products, up 130% on the year. The country's revenues from oil exports in the five months rose 71% on the year to $2.711 billion. Revenues from exports of oil products alone surged 160% to $82 million.
