Philip Morris ends investment project in Poland

Philip Morris has completed its seven-year investment project in Poland, spending US$298 million for the modernization of equipment and production lines at its facility in Krakow. “Modernization will help us strengthen our position on the market. A 36 percent share in the market gave us the leading position but it still falls short of our expectations,” said Jacek Olczak, CEO of Philip Morris Polska. Philip Morris Polska is Poland’s biggest tobacco company. It employs 2,000 workers and cooperates with 7,000 tobacco growers.
