Khodorkovsky Unguilty: YUKOS

Thursday YUKOS ex-chief Mikhail Khodorkovsky pleaded not guilty to charges including fraud and tax evasion. Imprisoned Platon Lebedev, another key YUKOS shareholder, also entered a not guilty plea. According to Khodorkovsky’s words, the YUKOS case was entirely politically motivated action. He promised to prove, that the charges of the government are the efforts to shuffle off the legislation errors, made by privatization, on him. They both face 11 charges on seven articles, which can lead to 10 years in prison. The court is set to resume hearings Friday.
